I just recently bought a Versa Lite and decided to test it during my bike ride. I ran my MapMyRide (which is fairly accurate, I'd say) and my Fitbit at the same time to measure the discrepancies. (GPS was on, my Versa was connected to my phone)
MapMyRide tracked a distance of 9.15 miles
FitBit tracked a distance of 8.45 miles
Google Maps says the distance I did was closer to 9.2 miles, so I think MapMyRide did a better job.
Since the Fitbit messed up the distance by quite some margin, so did my speed and the calories I burnt as a result. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any suggestions as to how I can improve the accuracy of the Fitbit?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @PariB. I am sorry for the delayed response.
Congratulations on your new Fitbit Versa Lite! I am glad to know that you're enjoying your device and using its features. Thank you for reporting the difference you see in tracking the distance during your bike ride compared to MapMyRide and Google Maps. Our team is always working on improving our devices and user experiences, and your comments are always welcome.
The Fitbit app uses the GPS sensors in your phone to track distance, while your Fitbit device uses both the sensors on your phone and device data to track distance. Therefore, the total distances reported by both features may be very close, but not exactly the same. For more information, please see this help article: How does my Fitbit device calculate distance?
You can find more information about the accuracy of Fitbit devices and ways to improve it here.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.
