I have the versa 2 and have had it since December 2019. I never used the GPS while walking with another person untill May 2020, my husband has an apple watch and my mother has the versa and when we have gone out my distance has been shorter then theirs. At first I thought it was because I started mine after them but for fun we started them all at the same time at the same place and walked the route.
My husband with his apple watch and iphone read 4.1miles with a pace of 15min 11 sec.
My mother with the Fitbit versa(connect to an iPhone) read 3.82miles with a pace of 18min 27sec.
My Fitbit versa 2(connected to a pixel 3) read 3.5miles with a pace of 20min 11sec.
The map we were following said that we should have walked 4.3miles.
I have updated the app and the watch. I have turned off the Bluetooth disconnected everything we connect tuned everything back on. I have changed my clock face (as that was one thing I saw for something else). I have made sure my watch is connected to GPS. I have also watched my phone and at no point did it say my phone lost GPS connection. My phone is an Android operating system. I have done everything that they have suggested on the support page. I am at a lose! The big reason I got this watch was so I can make sure my running and walking is tracked correctly and now I'm seeing that for almost a year it hasn't been work. I'm very disappointed and annoyed I didn't realize sooner!
Does anyone have suggestions. I am starting to believe maybe it is time to get a new workout watch.
