I've been successfully using connected GPS for a year on my Versa 2, so I know how to work it and how it operates.
Yesterday and today it took longer than usual to connect to the GPS signal and the distance recorded was about 1/4 mile shorter than it should have been. But MORE disturbing is that the map on what was recorded as over a 3 mile distance showed a 1/2 block line yesterday and a 1 mile straight line today, EVEN THOUGH THE FITBIT SAID THAT I WENT OVER 3 MILES.
How can the map and the recorded distance not jibe?
Also, several times today my device said it had lost the GPS signal.
This is not at all my normal experience with the Versa 2 and connected GPS
I don't know how to get back to what was working just fine for months and months.... I am doing nothing differently.
Please help.

Keep happening to me as well. Over a few runs now. So disappointed! Then it recalculate fitness level, so it dropped significantly now. Restarting does not help. Any suggestions from support?

Your situation is pretty much the same as mine. This lack of GPS has happened to me for a few weeks and I recall that I performed a software update a few weeks ago. I am in a rural area and do have some GPS black-spots but as the Versa 2 is reliant on the smartphone GPS and the smartphone and other gps reliant apps have no issue, pointing towards a software issue. I'm going to try a factory reset.
