GPS while biking

I have a fit bit Surge with built in GPS that I LOVE when I'm biking to see how my average speed and how many miles I have traveled.  The Versa GPS uses the GPS on the phone so if I'm biking in an area that has no cell service how will the Versa know my biking speed?  Also, does it display on the watch face miles traveled and average speed as you ride?

Yes, it should display that on the watch. I just went to my bike shortcut and it shows kmph and k (though I have never checked while biking to see how reliable it is - I dont usually bother with GPS). So basically, yes it shoukd show that information.
