Welcome to the Fitbit community, @Hoja!

Device lock is activated for safety as soon as you've set up Fitbit Pay on your Versa 2. To get rid of your device lock you have to disable Fitbit Pay on your device. To do s please go to your Fitbit Dashboard first:

Fitbit Dashboard

There click the gear icon in the upper right corner, then select Versa 2 to get to the options for your device. In the bottom you'll find Fitbit Pay. Click that to disable Fitbit Pay. After having synced your Versa 2 with your phone, device lock should be gone.

@Hoja Hi. You can turn off device lock in settings. If you have Fitbit pay enabled, you'll still get the password prompt occasionally, but not as often.

I think the way it's supposed to work is, if you have device lock turned off, it should only ask for the password if you use Fitbit pay. Mine doesn't work that way. I still get occasional password prompts.
