Getting a new band for Versa2?

The little tiny band around my watchband (that you tuck the band into) broke on my Versa2. I purchased some cheap bands from Amazon that were supposed to fit my Versa2. But when I tried to get the bands on, they just WOULD NOT FIT. I was really disappointed.

 

Do I have to pay $40 for a band directly from Fitbit so I know it fits?
