Hi My dashboard (F.B. Versa) is showing data for a bike ride that I did not take + it is registering steps when I am driving - can anybody advise on this?

@lenny4d Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I would like to follow up on the wrong data that your Versa tracked and would like to know if the excellent information and tips that recommended @Nagger and @DramaQueenDiva helped you to get this issue fixed.

It happens so now and then that a fb device has difficulty figuring out what type of activity one is doing, and mistakenly takes a type of activity for something else, like biking. You didn't mention what type of activity you were doing. You can change this back to the correct activity in the app/dashboard. If you were not doing any specific activity, you can also delete it. It then just disappears from the dashboard/exercise overview.

But as a a general rule I recomment to always manually select the correct exercise. That has added benefits aside from being correct from the start.

It looks like you need to add "Driving" as an activity in your Fitbit app.  You can do so by following these instructions.

@JuanJoFitbit  this is bizarre, I didn't have a problem, just replied to someone who has a problem.

Using driving as a mode to avoid ghoststeps cannot be called 'excellent information' - it's a problem that no-one yet really understands because MOST people do not get ghoststeps while driving, and it's not that those people that get ghoststeps always drive on bumpy roads. Driving as an "exercise" is just an annoying workaround. It falls in the same category as that some exercise modes like biking and elliptical also started to report steps whereas in the past they didn't.

I did provide a solution to the problem that some activities can be wrongly auto-detected as some other activity. But you did not credit me for that, and no other answer adressed that.
