Hi @sburkeen19 - is it working on your phone?

Are you long pressing the button to start it then speaking?

It doesn't respond to Ok Google like the phone, you need to press the button or click on the Google Assistant icon when you swipe the watch face left, then say your command.

Yes, I know I have to long press it on my watch not my phone. It struggles
to recognize commands from the watch.

Not sure if this is applicable to your situation but I have a recurring problem where the Google Assistant becomes disabled.  I often have to go back into the FitBit app and reactivate it.

@sburkeen19  - try chatting with support via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.

Hi @SunsetRunner  - do you have other symptoms for your watch with syncing perhaps which necessitates reconnecting GA?

Normally you only have to reconnect GA each time you login which would indicate you logout or the app has been terminated.

It could be your app is being shutdown by battery optimization on your phone. Worth checking.

Yes, good point.  I've disabled the 'smart background running' power-saving features applied to the FitBit app.  So far so good...

No. I don't have battery optimization turned on. Thanks though.

Well, I've finally given up on GA on the Versa 3 having tried various suggestions. It rarely works.  It appears to be yet another feature of this train-wreck of a device that is highly unreliable.   😕

@SunsetRunner  - it works fine for me, do you have a syncing problem, or if you logout you need to reconnect it each time you login, or is there some other problem?

Have you checked your music controls work which might have a bearing?

Can you try the free SimpleCheckUp app. When GA doesn't work you can use the connection test to verify if it can connect to the Fitbit App.

I never logout but it does "seem" reliable bluetooth connectivity is a problem.  The watch often fails to sync.  I appreciate your input, but regardless problems with GA and several other issues I have with this device, collectively they are just a series of ongoing hassles that simply shouldn't exist.  My previous device of a different brand never had these kind of daily issues and frankly I'm just totally over having to constantly troubleshoot this thing. No piece of tech has ever given me this much stress and frustration - and the irony of that certainly isn't lost on me!
