My first Versa lasted around 10 months. It died after highly inaccurate HR data prompted a visit to the ER. Received replacement Versa on 06/30/2020. I also purchased a pulse/ox to verify Versa’s HR. When I checked HR with the pulse/ox, the numbers were fairly close.
Fast forward exactly one year from when I got the replacement Versa. On 06/30/2021, HR was significantly elevated, ranging from 160 - 209. Used my pulse/ox to double check. Versa’s HR ranged from 40 - 90 bpm greater than the pulse/ox. This continued into the next day. Around 2:30 pm, it stopped registering my HR at all. Then around 7:00, it stopped working completely. Charged it for 50 minutes. Hot to the touch, glowed a faint grayish-pink color, and was unable to restart it. Let it cool. Tried another charger, the same thing happened, hot to the touch, faintly glowing, and unable to restart it.
Since it’s the replacement of my original purchased one, is there a warranty or replacement option? Although at this point, I don’t know if I want another Fitbit product.
Is the Versa only meant to last around 10-12 months? To say that I am frustrated that the first one died after ten months (not to mention the ER bill) and now to have the replacement die 366 days after I received it makes me wonder.
For the price, is it too much to ask for it to have accurate information and function longer?

I have a Versa lite that has been saying my HR is always in the 140-150 range all week. Came on the forums and saw lots and lots of similar complaints/posts. Fitbit gives some generic "are you using the watch right" response but it's obviously an SW issue.
HR is super elevated for a day or two then seems to work for an hour or so before it either jumps again it stops working all around. Mine says I have been at 150BPM for the last 5 hours so it's basically a dumb smartwatch at the moment.
