Hi
I purchased my Peach Versa yesterday and the HR monitor is not working. I am very disappointed! The sensor lights are not even on. What's going on? I am begining to regret getting it in the first place. I have to drive to the shop where I got it from - my time and fuel money! In the UK 1ltr of diesel costs $1.77 (or $8.10 for 1 gallon), so I am already loosing here! 😞

Have gone to Versa from a charge 2 HR. Never had any issues with Charge but deeply disappointed with the Versa.
Is there only supposed to be one light on the back? I only ask because Charge had 2. The Versa heart rate is only recording in short sporadic bursts during the day. When it is recording it’s not at all accurate, I can sit still and watch my heart rate steadily climb up to 100+ bpm!!
it also has stopped recording my sleep. Considering this has cost £200 I expected better from Fitbit.
Seems this is by no means a one off problem. What do Fitbit propose to do to fix this issue?

This is what just started happening with mine. Have you found a solution?

Roberto,
I pre-ordered two Versa's from Fitbit on March 23rd and the HR Monitor on my wife's stopped working today. After 90 minutes of resets/downloads and broken video uplinks, I'm told that rather than immediately sending us a replacement, we need to ship the Versa back with your return label and then we will hear back in 5 to 10 days on next steps.
Not that I'm confident a replacement will even work after reading this Forum, but is this really what qualifies as service at the "new" FitBit? We have purchased at least 7 devices from FitBit for our family over the years, and have always received excellent service including the shipment of new devices if there has been a catastrophic failure. I'm reading that this process could take a month, which is simply outrageous.
I am also surprised to learn that I am being further disadvantaged by having purchased directly from FitBit, as I could have easily returned this to Amazon or any other retail vendor. Better margins + you can delay replacement costs and kill customer goodwill...Mission Accomplished FitBit!!!
I look forward to hearing from you Roberto, and many thanks to my fellow Versa users who have posted.

I am on the third Versa. I've returned 2 and at the bottom of the list waiting for 3rd replacement. I am also frustrated beyond words. Apparently this device was released far ahead of all debugging. I gave my Charge 2 to my sister. Wish I would have kept what was working.

Luckily I still have my Blaze which works perfectly. I’m very disappointed too and I haven’t been offered the chance to replace it yet 😞

I was told the Versa HR sensor won't detect through tattooed skin.

Ironically I have the same issue (tattoo left wrist) and Fitbit CSR told me the HR sensor is much more sensitive on the Versa.

So let me get this straight, I paid extra for the SE band (because I liked the aesthetic) and now it can't be used to monitor HR? I was also informed by fitbit customer service it cant be used while sleeping, working out, and that snags are expected. When exactly can I wear my SE band? sitting on my couch when I assume my HR is at my "resting" level?

I'm on #3 Versa. The first two started with HR detection not working and then stopped working altogether. Neither of those lasted more than 3 days. I'm happy to say I'm on day 10 with this 3rd try. I'm NOT happy to say that I am not wearing it on my preferred (non dominant wrist) because I have a tattoo on that wrist. According to Fitbit CSR, HR monitor can't 'read through ink'... I wish that would've been pointed out somewhere.

I returned my Versa and as the HR monitor wasn't working. I have finally received a replacement "refurbished" pebble sent in a plain cardboard box even though I was asked to return the faulty one in its original packaging. They refuse to send me the original packaging. To say I'm unimpressed with Fitbit is an understatement. It has taken me 5 weeks to resolve this matter. I'm going to ask for a refund and stick to Garmin next time.

Hi Versa friends, my apologies for not posting anything lately. I was reviewing and some of you are still experiencing issues with the heart rate on your Versa. Thanks for tose newcomers that are calling this out.
I would recommend to review if the firmware version of the Fitbit Versa is updated to the most recent version. The last version contains some stability enhancements, that will help to improve the functionality on this issues: What's changed in the latest Fitbit device update?
If the lights of the sensor are not working, perhaps a restart will do the trick: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
If the issue continue, I would like to confirm if the heart is just not working for your exercise or the issue is affecting daily usage? What is the Heart rate showing on your Versa screen?
I will keep an eye on this, feel free to report any new eventuality.

My fitbit is running version 32.32.10.15 and doesn't give me an option to update. How do I get the new update that will fix my tracker? Based on my heart rate data, it was working until I installed the above update, and has been reading (--) since. I'd like to have it fixed since that feature is part of why I purchased this device.
