Heart beat accuracy

I’m fairly certain that my Fitbit is not accurately tracking my heart beat during workouts. Today, for instance, my heart was beating extremely fast and I was breathing very heavy and I look down and it says my heart rate it at 130. Normally when my heart rate is at 130 that’s still fairly comfortable for me. Like zone 1. I can still talk and stay in that range with relative ease. There’s no way it was actually that low. Any tips on increasing accuracy? I had it on the workout setting.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @ShellyG18. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding the heart rate accuracy of your Fitbit Versa. Our heart-rate tracking technology, known as PurePulse, is specially designed to give you a more complete picture of your health and fitness. As with all heart-rate tracking technology, whether a chest strap or a wrist-based sensor, accuracy is affected by personal physiology, location of wear, and type of movement. I appreciate your efforts to improve the accuracy of your heart rate reading and recommend checking this help article with some useful tips: How do I improve the accuracy of my heart-rate reading?

If you haven't done so, I'd like you to restart your device as described in this help article. This will refresh your Versa internally.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
