Hi,

 

I’ve noticed that the heart rate monitor is active when I’m charging my Fitbit and even when I’ve taken it off.

 

It’s just started happening recently.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you for your participation in the Forums and sharing that the heart rate monitor is active when you're charging your device or when you're not wearing it. I understand your concern and recommend doing the following:

 

  • Switch heart rate setting to off and sync (Open the Settings app, and find Heart Rate)
  • Switch heart rate setting to On and sync.
  • Restart your watch by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Some users find helpful to have the face of the watch facing down and the back of the watch facing up when you're not wearing it. You can find more information about tracking heart rate here.
