I've read several articles on this matter but nothing is working. The actual green scany part on the side of the watch that makes contact with the skin (idk the proper term for this lol) wont light up anymore. My heart monitor is indeed set to work, and I have tried a factor reset... am I missing something??? Please help

I wish I had an answer. I was just on a live chat trying to get the exact same issues resolved. Both my heart rate and sleep stopped tracking two weeks ago. I have updated my fit bit. Reset the fitbit. Tried adjusting settings, and nothing has worked. Hopefully someone can help us out!

This has been an issue since January's update, for some, since December. They've pretty much ignored all our reports and complaints. They've made few vague statements about a team working on it, but rolling back an update doesn't take 4+ months.
The only option right now (besides returning your Fitbits) is to request a replacement device and not-update the firmware beyond the setup's required one. The device may record in a delayed way, but you'll get all the features we were promised.

I would like to see a response from Fitbit, but I guess they are more interested in selling new devices to people than making sure what they sold still functions to the customers they have or I’m sure had in several cases.

Same problem. I have had challenges in consistency on the heart rate since last December and now the heart rate tracking has stopped altogether
