@Volksie, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa since it stopped tracking your heart rate.

I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After trying these steps, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Well, duh, that was an easy fix! Heart rate was turned off in setting. Thanks for the help!

I am having the same issue.  It stopped reading my heart rate and I've reset the phone several times.

I've tried all of these troubleshooting and my Versa still is not reading my heart rate.  I've made sure the heart rate setting is on, I've powered on and off which is resetting it, I've charged it but there is no light at all showing in the back of the watch.

@Volksie, I'm sorry for the late response. However, I'm so glad to hear that you managed to get the issue resolved and your heart rate is being tracked properly. Thank you for posting the update here.

@lizelrey, I'm sorry for the late response as well. Regarding the heart rate issue that your Versa is experiencing, I appreciate the time spent trying the troubleshooting steps I shared above.

Id' like you to try one more workaround that has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 24 hours and see if your heart rate is being tracked properly.

Let me know how it goes.

I noticed today while running it didn't give me a heart rate. I then tried to readjust n tighten the band but with no change. I followed the steps to turn off heart rate in settings, shutdown and restart Fitbit Versa, and then turned back on heart rate, but that didn't fix the issue. I then figured to just reset factory the Fitbit and start from the beginning, but once I reset my Fitbit it won't turn on. I tried pushing all three buttons for three minutes or until I saw that forgot logo, but the screen remains black. I then tried to put the Fitbit on the charger and tried the three buttons approach, but still no change. I tried to just push and hold the back button and bottom right button to see if the Fitbit logo appears, but still black screen. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. I use my Fitbit everyday with tracking my steps, workouts, food intake, etc. Need help!!

I contacted Fitbit via chat and I was still under warranty. My Fitbit Versa wouldn't turn back on after trouble shooting with them. They are sending me a replacement versa since under warranty. This is my 3rd versa since I purchased it a year ago. The issues have been different each time.

What if the heart rate doesn’t come back not even after a factory reset? No flashing light in the back of my Versa. 😞

This is my second Versa, replaced after the first one didn’t come back on. Now that is

no longer reading heart rate, it is out of warranty even if technically the watch is less than 1 y.o..

I wonder how common are issue with the Versa.
are we just the two unlucky ones?
