Heart rate while sick?

I’m currently fighting a head cold and a cough (no fever). I was okay the first two days, but yesterday I felt EXHAUSTED and just moving around took a lot of energy out of me. I checked out my heartrate stats for that day and they were rather high.

Heres a normal day for me:D20C97B5-7767-42A8-B287-ACBA952060B6.png

Normally, I’m at 60 resting and getting up and walking around can put me at like 110. But yesterday was like this:C3A6628C-74B3-4FC1-8DB0-4FCD289E5A5D.png

Just sitting around my heart rate was in the 90s and getting up and walking around put me in the 120-130s. I get the walking around part, but just sitting around you’d think it’d be a lower number. Additionally, I find it strange that my HR was low until noon when I was up and moving, but the rest of the day I was just laying around and it was consistently high.

Should I be concerned or is then normal when you have a gnarly cold/cough? Could it be some sort of glitch?

Hi, in principle you do not have to be concerned. You say that you felt exhausted, which already accounts for a higher HR. Whilst having a cold and coughing, it means that your immune system is fighting against the virus and your adrenalin level therefore is higher than normal and thus a higher HR. Wait untill your cold is over and see if your normal HR is acting "normal" again.
