Help! Fitbit isn't working

Hi, My screen is black on my Fitbit Versa and will not charge. I've cleaned it and pressed the left side button to try to reset it. Still nothing. The only help Fitbit could provide was to tell me to buy a new Fitbit which was disappointing. Does anyone know how to fix this device? Thank you

My Versa is doing the same thing, except mine will charge . I updated the software and my phone app tells me it has synced and battery is charged. But, screen is blank all the time!
