This has happened a couple of days now where I sync with my app with around 16 or 17K steps and once I have fully synced my steps change and go back to around 10 or 11K. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this?

@CharlotteThomon Are the steps missing from your Dashboard on Fitbit.com as well? Also, do you have any other trackers linked with your account?

Yeah - it seems to be when I log some exercise when I remove what I’ve logged the steps come back? Really not sure what the issue is so going to just let it automatically log it instead of me manually inputting for now. Thanks for the reply!

@CharlotteThomon You mean you manually log the walk/run into Fitbit app? Inputting the steps? Manually logged steps do not count towards your goal (i.e. 10000 steps) or challenges.

Not the steps no. Logging a walk or a circuit at the gym. It seems to take off the steps that were counted during the time I log I have done the excersise

@CharlotteThomon I never tried logging a walk, but I do log other types of workouts. I know that any data that you input will override the ones recorded by Fitbit (except for HR). So for instance if you do not input calories or input other number, this will go into your stats. I believe that's the root cause of your problem. You would need to log distance as well. You can experiment I guess.
