I lost my fitbit versa charger.  I purchased on 4 occassions cheap product which suppose to be compatible with fitbit versa. However, neither  has not charged my watch.  I dont want to waste money purchasing a charger.  Is this normal.  I had the original fitbit and the Fitbit  I never had problems

Hi @Jacmc35  the Fitbit needs the original charging unit in order to work properly. Third party places sell them, but they don't always work well. You can get the original charging units directly from Fitbit and it even comes with a warranty.
