My versa lite is not calculating right.  8 did 5 miles on the treadmill and it only counted 4. I'm not tech savvy,  so I don't know what to do.

Hi @JenniferKA3374 while on a treadmill, Fitbit has no idea of how much virtual road has moved below you. 

Fitbit counts your steps and uses the stride setting to take an educated guess on your virtual, not real distance. 

The first thing we need to check is step count accuracy. Note, holding on to the hand rails we cause a loss of steps counted. 

Then we can check the stride setting, which will vary with the speed of the treadmill and will be different then the free run stride..
