Why oh why aren’t we able to track hot flashes yet? This seems like it should be easy, even if it has to be done manually in the app. I am going through breast cancer treatment, chemo, hysterectomy and now a hormone blocker. I am experiencing an obnoxious amount of hot flashes and it is affecting my sleep and just life in general. I realize I was catapulted into menopause and hot flashes are to be expected but I was recently taken off the blocker for 10 days and the hot flashes reduced significantly. I believe my oncologist would be interested in seeing these comparisons and it would help him understand exactly what I am going through. If Fitbit is able to track blood oxygen with infrared light (this seems complicated), why not hot flashes? It seems like it should be simple. I would be more than happy to do this manually in the app if automatic tracking is too complicated. There is a hot flash button in there but it seems to be more of a daily symptom and not a tracker. Please, please give us this option. This info might improve my quality of life and help me and my oncologist make decisions about my health care. Let’s remember that women will experience menopause at some point and if that age group is not your first priority, consider that 1 in 8 of us will develop breast cancer and it might likely be estrogen fed leading to estrogen cessation. This can happen at any age.
