Just purchased my Fitbit Versa yesterday. Spent over $200, this is my very first Fitbit and I was super excited only to get home and can't connect or setup the device. I've tried numerous times and I'm left very disappointed and upset. I want to know can I get my money back being that I opened the box already?

We could help if we knew what Device you were trying to set it up on. You should really let us know so we can help you get it going
But if you bought it at a store take it back an exchange it

Sounds like it is irrelevant what device. There has been a known setup issue for the past two days. "Supposed" to be resolved now though. Another "feature" of buying into Fitbit.

If you bought locally take it back and get a refund. If you bought from FitBit you will need to contact FitBit support for return info and wait.

There have been setup problems with certain phones, or with certain OS version of the Fitbit app.
Some have found, by using a different device, the Fitbit sets up nicely.

Please don’t give up! I purchased my first ever fitness monitoring device ever after researching it for approx 1 week. I bought the Versa because of its waterproof rating and features. I spent 9 very frustrating hours the first day/night trying to get it to update. I was consulting this communities pages while trying different things. Then I saw the message from MattFitbit that they knew there was an issue with their firmware update. The next morning, I noticed my versas screen was changing colors (blue screen progressing across screen) until a full green screen came up with a check mark. It is now working as expected and I love it.
