If it is a Fitbit designed face you change it through your personal settings on the web.

If it is a third party face, this still may work, or the face may have its own setting, or hasn't given the user the choice.

I’m not seeing anything from what you posted. It seems as though our screens are different. I click the gear then settings and I get a page that looks nothing like what you have. I get something about community preferences and when I change it to personal it doesn’t give me anything about changing the time.

@Gross5c when addressing someone it is helpful to tag them, you just wont work.

I'm not sure what screen your describing. Go to your personal settings on the web at fitbit.com the setting cog will be found in the top right. Charge to 24 hour and sync.

If this doesnt work then look in the settings for the clock face.

It sucks that these devices are not 24 hour by default.  People in the USA seem to have a problem understanding the 24 hour clock.  I wonder how they manage to travel internationally?

It also sucks that this setting change is not in the phone app.  I mean, we can change the face of the clock but we cannot change to 24 hour in the same app.

Rich Laue provides the perfect walk thru dated ‎05-16-2019 10:15 - edited ‎05-16-2019 10:17... This post walks you completely from start to end. The key wording is you must open fitbit in a internet browser, NOT the app... Kudos Rich and another user, who also state: when site is opened in a phone browser, the page is over-blown, you must scroll to the upper right to find your settings gear. It took both my daughter and myself to solve this on our own...LoL...we decided to search the question and were shocked how easily this process can become a quagmire.

If you look 2 posts above yours, you will see the same post from me.

Or anyone at anytime can click on the below link to help and get this page which says the same.

Fitbit devs, million dollar idea allow people to configure this from their watch instead of having to login to your website and then sync their phone to their fitbit lol.

Sorry, @frohner but, over 6 years, it looks like not many users, only 179 people, seem to care.

Advertise and get about 600 more votes in the next 3-6 months, and Fitbit may notice.

Yep, I was joking about million dollar idea.

I'm a developer as well, so I understand how feature prioritization goes.
