Fitbit, can we please have a manual way to edit running distance? With connected GPS being off by miles and that then messing up what my automatic stride length for treadmill running (making a 3 mi run in to a 0.86 mi run!), all of my running exercises are way off.
This is also throwing off my cardio health measure because it looks like my heart rate is super high for a shorter than mile run. Anyone got a fix suggestion for this? The Versa is very slowly starting to become kinda useless.

No edit option for me either. For some reason my exercise doesn't automatically detect when I'm finished and I need to be able to adjust the length of my workout. Versa special edition and SG7 edge

Same here. Still waiting for the edit function on Android.

Sad they haven't addressed this problem yet.

I figured it out, purely by accident, on my iPhone. Put your finger on the exercise and slide it to the left. Options to edit, share and delete will appear. I just edited a workout to reflect the actual time after I forgot to end it when I was done.

Unfortunately that doesn't work on the Android version of the app. It seems that the Fitbit folks just don't care enough about their Android users to give them Edit functionality.

I have the same issue as well. I sometimes forget to end my workout and end up with a 3 to 4 hours worth logged in.
An edit button will help correct this rather than re lagging, trying to remember the calories etc.
I hope someone from fitbit is taking note!

Bit off-topic but related to being forgetful 🙂 It could be a nice optional feature to show reminder when the HR goes below fat burn for longer time but we are still running the Exercise 😉 Short vibration and dialog asking whether we are done with workout could be nice addition for people who tend to forget to end the exercise.

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing fine.
I am sorry for the delay in respond and appreciate all the efforts in trying to address your "How to edit an activity?" inquiry.
@goldngrrl, it's great to hear that you were able to edit your activities. If there is anything else we can help you with, do not hesitate to post it.
@houfit002, @John30013, @Vaasa, @SunsetRunner and @DGSP, I know that it would be great to have the ability to edit activities from the Fitbit app, thanks for the feedback. Please feel free to visit our feature suggestions board and share this idea. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Sorry that it doesn't work for Android users, we just have iOS devices here. It's a shame that Fitbit won't even weigh in on this issue for you guys.

Works on the PC via Windows store app.
Also works on iOS.
Just not Android.

@AlejandraFitbit This is a bug, not a feature request. "Edit Exercise Details" shows as an option on the App (I'm using iPhone version) but the change to "Distance" doesn't work. Time edits work, but not distance. This is for a "Run" workout I initially did on my Nordictrack elliptical machine using the FitBit Charge 3. The miles were 50% less than actual. I've tried it like 10 times in 2 different places in the app and nothing. It's not updating the miles count.

LOL. It's not an option on web either. It appears it's only on iOS and Windows. How random! It would be great if we can get it on web/Android soon.
I usually start my bike ride from my Charge 3, but a lot of time I forget to stop it. This has always been an annoyance. At least I can fix it now!
Thanks for letting me know about the Windows app!

It's 16th July 2019 and there is no pencil icon for step 3! There is a trash, and a share icon.
Has this feature been removed from the App? I'm on Android
edit: I should have read the rest of the discussion lol :-D.

My edit button exists, but it only allows me to change the duration of the exercise, not the distance of the run itself. The Apple Watch is much better with tracking distance and I’ve confirmed my run with google maps - the distance my Fitbit displays is over a mile shorter than it should be. If there’s no fix to this in the near future, the Apple Watch will definitely be my next watch purchase over another Fitbit product.

I agree, I wish I'd bought an Apple Watch instead.
It's because you have an Android, but, really, there's no excuse for Fitbit not making that edit feature available to all platforms. It's a no-brainer.

Generally speaking, I'm really happy with my Charge 3. An Apple Watch costs 3x as much and has about a tenth of the battery life. I'm all about simplicity. All the other smart watch options are all big and constantly need charging. With my Charge 3, I can leave town for a week and not have to bring an extra charger. It's awesome for anybody that travels.
Beyond the edit feature not being in Android and web, my only real beef is the small text size. My Charge 2 had larger text and was easier to read.

I've to create a duplicate exercise with the same initial parameters, like start time, length in min, estimated calories as per the device, the correct distance (ie from the readout in the treadmill). And delete the original exercise recorded by the device.
This for Android due to absence of edit mode.
