How do I edit the exercise shortcuts on the Fitbit app?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a pre-set list o 14 activities in the app. Most don’t apply, and there are other activities (inline skating, pickleball, etc.) that I would like to replace them with.

How do you do that?

Hi there, @CanStanTheMan. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please note that for Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Charge 6, Fitbit Inspire 3, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense series, Fitbit Versa series, and Google Pixel Watch series, all exercises are available in the Exercise app. They can’t be reordered, instead, they will show your most recently used exercises in the Exercise tile and/or at the top of the Exercise app. For more information, see How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Incorrect @MarreFitbit. You list the Versa series can't be reordered, The Versa one and two allow you to add up to 7 favorites from the list and CAN be reordered. I'm still using both models.

Thank you for your response.

I visited the app, and I tried to remove 2 activities from the list of 7 activities showing.

These 7 activities make up the first page of activities on my Versa 2. I have to click on “More” on the Versa 2 to see my second set of 7 different activities.

What happened when I deleted the 2 activities in the app was that I ended up with 5 activities on the first page of my Versa 2, and 9 activities on the second page. The 2 that I deleted from the first page are now on the second page!

This whole process is non-intuitive.
I hope there is actually a way that what I see and edit in the app is what I see and edit on the Versa 2.

@CanStanTheMan The first page is your shortcuts. You can add and remove here and those will show on the watch. You can't remove the more option or additional preset options. You can only make up to 7 presets show on the watch. No editing or removing otherwise. Might be kind of a pita, but have you tried using "workout" and rename it after?

Thank you for your input. Each time I do an activity that isn't on the list, I name it "Workout". Unfortunately I have not found a way to change that once it's been entered as an activity at that time.

@CanStanTheMan I haven't tried editing in a while.  I know there was some issues when the app was redesigned, and I haven't seen any updates, but in the phone app dashboard, click on any prior exercise session. You'll see a "pen" icon. Click on that. It's for editing a workout. You should be able to rename them there.
