Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Thanks for stopping by in the Fitbit Community Forums and sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 3.

Please note that replacing your existing Versa 3 with a new Fitbit device won't delete your history if you keep using the same Fitbit account. If you want to start from scratch with your new Fitbit device, you'll need to create a new Fitbit account.

do you want to keep the history of your account? If you delete the account, the history will be gone, too. If you just want to remove a device from the account and continue the history, you can do that. follow the directions in this article - click - on how to set up a replacement device.

@MarreFitbit I was curious how that's going to work with google accounts. Certainly people aren't going to want to have to make a new google account to use across all devices just if they want a new Fitbit start? Just wondering, as I currently would see no reason to want to erase my history in Fitbit.

I did change to Google sign in but didn't think I would have trouble
deleting the data from my phone .
I'm puzzled as also since changing to Google half my data is missing also
the new format with circles instead of how it used to be is annoying I'm a
premium member but I'm not getting the service I've paid for

@SunsetRunner Hi. I always just go into the app settings and add a different device to switch Fitbits. Never had an issue. Your historic data is stored on the Fitbit server, not the phone. So as long as your using the same account, it is supposed to be there. Some would suggest removing the Versa 3 from your app first before adding the new device, but I never had an issue just swapping.

But have you switched to the Google login?
I have and it won't let me remove my versa 3 data which I don't want to
keep.
If I try factory reset a red x appears on my watch saying I have to unpair
first but I can't find a way to unpair

@SunsetRunner No sorry, I don't plan on switching for a while to Google. You can't go into your Fitbit phone app settings and remove the Versa 3? I would think the phone app is the same, you're just logged on through Google?

@SunsetRunner I always got through to chat support pretty quick. This is mainly a user community anyway. Not actual support.
