How do I make the app work with my new watch and not the old one?

Go into the account section of the app (the icon looks like an ID card) and select "set up a device". Choose the model of your new device and follow the prompts. If the new one is the same model as your old one it will replace it, if it is a different model it will add it to your account and you can then choose to leave the old fitbit connected or remove it.
All your data, settings, badges etc will be retained.
