I just received my new versa 2 and I have it in the charger but I’m uncertain if it is charging as there is no indicator or percent. How long should it charge for the first time? Others have reported they had some battery life when they received theirs but mine appears to be completely drained of battery.

@Skhaz, welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry about the time needed in order to have your Versa 2 fully charged is 2-3 hours.
I would like to know if your watch vibrates or turns on when putting it on the charger.
Looking forward to your response.

@Skhaz the only sign of correctly charging will be the vibration when connecting up to charger.. You can remove and reconnect, the charge level should be displayed. Or swipe up on the screen to see the level.

Just purchased the fitbit versa 2 and it doesn't appear to be vibrating when placed on the charger. Is this normal for the first charge

Hi all, I have a versa 2 and it has taken 12 hours to charge fully. Why is this so? It has never charged 2-3 hours?

Depending on the type of wall wort will depend on how long it will take.
However until the tracker is setup you will not get any notice of the battery state or if it is charging.
Of course you can set the tracker up a little after plugging it into the charger.

Have you been able to set it up? Your Bluetooth is not suppose to find the tracker.

I have a Fitbit Versa 2. 4 mths ago I decided to try a new watch, and put my Fitbit in a drawer. Now, I trying to revive it. I tried turning it on and nothing. I tried multiple attempts to hold the button for 10 sec, and still nothing. Ok, it was dead. I found the charger (original), and put it on it for 2 hours with a high quality USB charger.( have dozens to choose from). After the 2 hrs, still nothing. I mean the watch on the charger doesn't even get warm. Nada. I'm going to leave it on the charger for a longer period, but I'm too encouraged that it will come to life. If not, what are the next steps I could try? I scoured the web for every possible solution, but so far it seems to be out of commission - for good!

BTW, I carefully looked at the seating of the watch in the charger, and can confirm it's making contact with all 4 pins. And, yes, I even cleaned both set of contacts.

Once you let a lithium battery go dead, it starts to, internally breakdown. The longer the battery is left dead, it is very possible, because of lack of use and uncharged, the battery is dead.
I've seen where it has taken 6+ hours before I could say the battery was charging, but because of not properly maintaining the battery, the charge didn't last long

Hi @redjr - there is one other possibility if you owned a Versa previously - it has an identical charger but it won't charge a Versa 2.
With the correct charger on a PC port insist with the charging, disconnecting and connecting multiple times over a period.
You can always use a USB charge monitor to see if it is drawing any current, which might be small until the battery wakes.
