Open the Fitbit app on your phone. Click on the Versa icon in the top left corner. Scroll all the say down to Exercise Shortcuts and click on that. You are correct, you can only have 7. Delete one (on my phone I click on Edit and then click the minus sign of the one i want to delete but your phone might be different) and then click on +Exercise Shortcut to see the list of all the choices. Click on Walk. Keep deleting and adding until you have the 7 you want.

I should have said, those are the Exercise Shortcuts. You can manually log any number of exercises by clicking on Track Exercise and then Log and searching for the exercise you want. I manually log my indoor bike rides by entering start time, total time and distance and the Versa calculates heart rate, average heart rate, calories and active minutes. I manually log indoor bike instead of using the Spinning Exercise shortcut because the Spinning shortcut gives you steps and I don't want them for bike riding - and it does not calculate mileage correctly. I use the Exercise Shortcuts for Treadmill and Tai Chi (I use the Yoga one). I hope that answered your questions.

@fabfitgirl Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Nice to have you join the discussions here on the Versa board.
The exercise feature is available on the watch. If you look through the apps on your Versa, exercise will be one of them and you'll see all the exercise shortcuts. To change/edit these exercise shortcuts, you'll need to to go to the Fitbit app.

I followed these steps, though they lead to the same result as in being able to configure WHICH exercises show up on the watch, the path was slightly different:
1. Top Left "Versa" icon
2. On the account screen, select the "Versa" icon (it would either be "connected" or "not connected")
3. On this screen, you should have the "Clock Faces/Apps/Media/Wallet/How to Use/Accessories" icons first, scroll down to "Exercise Shortcuts"
4. If you see 7 exercises already configured, the "+Exercise Shortcut" option is disabled, because that is the maximum number of exercises that can be shown on the watch.
4a. Delete any one exercise (similar to deletion in other iPhone options)
5. Once the count of exercises on display is reduced from 7, the "+Exercise Shortcut" is enabled and clicking on it, shows ALL the exercises that are available for display and voila, "Walk" is one of them!
Best of luck,
Note: This is for all those that have recently purchased their Versa watches. Thought it prudent to share as I had a tough time getting to this. Took a lot of experimentation.
