How to transfer Music from Mac Computer?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been searching articles for 2 days on how to transfer music to my Versa. I have a Mac PC and I can not find anything. If someone could help me out or give a link to a previous thread i would greatly appreciate it. Not sure why this is so difficult. If they would just get Spotify it would make my life easier. I pay for that so Im not about to pay for Deezer or Pandora and unfortunately you can't get your watch to play those random playlist you get for free. Thank You!

@Versa2User12   Your first problem is that you don't get the Fitbit Connect App from the Apple App store. Instead, on your Mac, Google Fitbit Connect and follow the link for "Fitbit Setup" . On that page, scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on the pink link that says "Download For Mac".  Once installed on your computer, DO NOT go through the set up steps. Your Versa is already set up. Instead, look across the top menu bar on your computer and see if you have the Fitbit logo there. Click on that and choose "Manage My Music".

I won't go into the details for music transfer here because I've already posted in detail how this works best.

This is the step where I'm getting stuck. I have done all of the above troubleshooting, verified that my watch and computer can connect on the same wifi network, and my Versa still won't connect when I try to open the Manage My Music tool. This is incredibly frustrating.

My question is, I just want to transfer a preselected playlist 0f maybe 20 or 30 songs from my iTunes to my Versa 2. Is there a box to drag a preselected playlist into from my iTunes to transfer to my watch? Thanks. Like most people, I have playlists for in the car and when exercising.

I wouldn't think this would be that much of a problem, just need a little more clarification:)

My confusion is, it reads transfer my music library. Don't what to do that with hundreds of songs in my library. I'm surprised it's 2022 I don't even see a single youtube video specifically detailing the steps for both Apple and Windows to walk through choosing a simple maybe 50 song playlist to drag it into the proper place and let it transfer. If you know of a informative video, please let me know.

I’ve been using Fitbit Connect app for the last year or so to transfer music my iTunes playlists on my Mac (MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina) to my Versa 2 watch. A few days ago, I was sent the email below from Fitbit. Strange as it seems, there is no information on Google search or this Fitbit website about any alternative measure to sync from my Mac to Versa 2 after the Oct. 13, 2022 deactivation of Fitbit Connect.  It does not mention anything about syncing from Mac to Versa 2 after that date whether music or some other data. It’s very vague email as are all the attached help links. Here is the Fitbit email I received.

SUBJECT: Important: Fitbit will no longer support Fitbit Connect

Fitbit Connect Deactivation

We noticed you’ve used Fitbit Connect within the past 6 months and wanted to share an important update. We will be deactivating the Fitbit Connect service as of October 13, 2022. This means you will no longer be able to transfer music files to your device or sync to your desktop computer.

• If you already have music on your device, it will remain on your device and be playable. No additional music can be added once Fitbit Connect is deactivated.

After October 13th, you will need to use the Fitbit app on your mobile phone to sync your device data.

• Want to export your account data and save it somewhere else? Learn how here.

Please visit this article for help on how to sync with the Fitbit mobile app.

The last gentleman gave me an article to read about how to connect and sync music to my watch but it sadly was OUTDATED.
It talked about using Fitbit Connect which is soon to be deactivated.

Thanks for letting me know about that.
Please allow me a minute or two.

Take your time…just please do not disconnect the chat.

We understand how helpful the Fitbit Connect app has been for you for syncing and transferring music.

It was the only way to do it from a Mac as far as I know
09:41 pm

I understand how you're feeling, as an alternative we'd like to offer you a 3-month trial of Deezer.
09:42 pm

I bought 2 of these Versa 2 watches specifically to walk and listen to music without the need of a phone.
09:42 pm

We appreciate your continued support for the Fitbit products and service.

I am on a limited income…Deezer is NOT free
09:42 pm

Yes, for this situation the 3 month trial for Deezer would be free.
To take advantage of this offer, here are the things you need to do:
First off, download the Deezer app on their Fitbit watch.
Tap the Deezer app on your watch.
The watch will display a code. From there, enter the code as instructed at https://fitbit.com/deezer
09:43 pm

Is there any way to transfer music to this device after Oct. 13th?
Not interested in Deezer AT ALL…sorry..it’s not part of Fitbit
09:44 pm

Thanks for letting me know about that. In this case, I'll have our team look into this case.
As soon as we have additional information to share, we'll be contacting you via email.
09:45 pm

I am sure someone from Fitbit planned how all the Mac users were going to be able to use the Fitbit for music after Oct. 13? Right?
09:46 pm

I'll have this question added to the documentation I've created for this case.
As soon as we have additional information to share, we'll get back in touch with you via email.
