Hi there,
I received a new versa lite yesterday and just noticed it’s not on the most recent update? Only on 38.33.1.30.
its updated when I set it up but am wondering why it wouldn’t have started with the most recent update? I cannot download the spO2 clock which is one of the reason why I bought the watch due to health issues.
my iPhone is up to date and according to the app the versa is too although I cannot download several apps or clock faces due to it telling me I need to update?

Indeed the latest version is 38.71.6.19.
The update probably failed during setup - it needs to be on charge and near its wifi and phone for it to work quickly.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly.They may be able to force the latest update to you
