I'm frustrated! Versa suddenly died

My Versa had been working perfectly, then all of a sudden today, it just went black. It was at about 50%battery, so I know it wasn't that the battery had died. I tried holding down the left and bottom right buttons, then all three buttons, and nothing worked. Then I put it on the charger for 2 hours and still no response. I just live chatted with Fitbit support and I am very disappointed! They offered me no other solutions other than to offer 25% off the purchase of a new device from their website because my device is no longer under warranty. (I purchased it 2 years ago but this current device is newer than that since it already had to be replaced once.) I would expect that when you spend $200 on something, it lasts or there is some solution to fix it other than just being told to go buy a new one. I'm very frustrated.

It’s working again! I did a lot of searching on these forums and found a solution that brought mine back to life. The sleep function is acting wonky but everything else is working. It’s worth a try. Not sure why multiple people from support didn’t say anything about trying to press the tiny button on the underside of the watch that I didn’t know even existed...

This is exactly happened to me today. When I contacted online customer support they told me that there was not anything they could do. According to them the device had previously been replaced but I was not aware since it been a gift. After troubleshooting they said that was all they could do. I will no be purchasing anymore Fitbit products.

That is beyond frustrating! You would think a “smart” watch would last longer than a couple of years. Why would I want to invest in another one if I’m going to have to replace it again in the near future?

I left it on the charger overnight hoping it just needed a long charge, but nope. I unplugged it and put it back on again and it showed an icon of a battery with 0% after being on the charger for 12+ hours. Very disappointing!

This happened to me this morning, had it almost 2 years.  I want a new watch but doubt I'll go with another Versa or for that matter a fitbit all together.  Very disappointed!

Sorry this happened to you too. Seems like it’s a common problem that Fitbit needs to work on a solution for. I have a Fitbit Alta HR that I was using before I purchased my Versa. I’m going to use that while I research what device to buy—most likely not a Fitbit.

This is the only thing it does now.
