Inaccurate Steps

Hi

My step count isn't accurate at all.  I've also noticed it's counted steps whilst ironing.  This watch has rave reviews but so far I'm unimpressed.  What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Hi @Karebear81  - the step count is what is used to measure activity, normally when walking/moving, but repetitive movements will also generate steps because it cannot know what you are actually doing for sure.

Generally it is a pretty good guide to your activity and calories etc.

If you only want to count steps that's a different issue and may be step counter is what you need.

However there is a setting for dominant hand in your web account profile.

You can log into your profile settings here

There you can change whether it is set for dominant or non dominant hand. When set dominant it will reduce the number of "non" steps but there will always be some on either setting..
