Inaccurate mileage tracking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So when I try to track a run/walk my mileage is all sorts of off. My steps are counted... but my mileage is not right. I walked 1.5 miles out (it counted that accurately!!) But apparently that same route back was only .3miles.

The same walk without using the exercise log counts 3 miles- but since I used the run log it's only saying I have 1.8miles and 8000 steps...

OH!! And if I am pushing our stroller (or shopping cart for that matter) my steps dont log accurately either!!

Any help or insight here?!

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Aschinstock1015. Sorry for the delayed response.

I regret to hear that your Fitbit Versa it not recording your distance accurately. Thanks for the information provided. I would recommend performing a restart of your watch by following these steps. Please make sure that your Personal information (height and weight) on the Fitbit account is correct. If necessary, you can measure and adjust your stride length. For more information, please visit this article

If none of this helps, please let me know if you are recording your run/walk with or without connected GPS?

If you're doing something like pushing a stroller or shopping cart, your wrist-based device will count your steps but the total may be slightly lower than usual.

If you have any question, please let me know.
