Is Fitbit Versa a good smartwatch?

I've been wanting to buy a smart watch for quite some time. A Apple watch is out of question for reasons I'm sure one can understand. For quite some time I've had my eye on Fitbit Versa. I am currently using Fitbit Charge 2 so I already have a good impression of the brand. However when I started doing research on the watch I couldn't find the results I was looking for. So I wanted to ask as a smartwatch is Fitbit Versa worth it. Does it have what one expects from a Smart Watch. Can I use Facebook or Instagram or Twitter on it? Can I use YouTube? Do Can I store photos in it? Does it have a lot of third-party apps? I get that it's primarily a activity tracker but I want it to also be a decent Smart watch. So I'd appreciate all the input I get.

Hi. I've had a Versa and I now have a Versa 2.  It does everything I need it to do.   In addition to the obvious, it tracks lots of activities, including tennis, which is important to me.  I've found the sleep tracking to be surprisingly accurate, and its heart rate measuring is accurate, too.  It has Alexa.  You speak into it, but the response is text; there is no speaker.   It works fine.   You cannot do Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube on it.   It does show your incoming cell phone calls and text messages.  I appreciate the ability to reject phone calls using the Versa.   You can respond to text messages, but only if you have an Android phone.  You can store up to 300 songs on it.    If you want to see what apps are available, just check the Fitbit app.    I'm very happy with the Versa 2.   I hope the Versa 3 will have a speaker and will allow text message replies if you have an iPhone, but I have zero regrets about buying the Versa 2.

I hope this helps.   Let me know if you need further information.

No. The firmware updates has crippled mine, and ALOT of users on here, VERSA specifically. Horrible support from @Fitbit . They require update, then dont support when update cripples device. Apple Watch may work better

I'm sorry for your experience. I've had no problems at all, except for
shorter-than-expected battery life (2+ days instead of 6). I've found
their support on twitter to be quick and helpful. I don't know if you've
tried that. It's @FitbitSupport. Good luck!

I can only speak for my wife's experience and mine, and it hasn't happened
to either of us.
