Having trouble getting notifications on my Fitbit Versa 2 using Textra app. It works with the default texting app but I'd rather not use it due to it being too slow. Any suggestions?

The question is, is textra compatable with the fitbit app?
Do you get textra notifications on the lock screen of your phone?
Is textra an option under the fitbit notification / text messaging or do you have to look under the app notification.
Does fitbit and textra have power management turned off.

So you do get notifications just can not reply.
Do you have your Text messages set for Textra?

I am a person and still would like to know where in the settings that the Textra app was chosen?
Where you able to set it up through text messages, or did you have to go through the App notifications?
I'm asking because i do not know if Textra was registered properly as a messaging app in the phones OS.

Was this ever resolved? I get Textra notification on Versa 2, but I cannot read the text message on it. However I can reply to it. Makes no sense.

Hello @SunsetRunner what do you mean about not being able to read?
When you two on the notice the message body does it expand?
Do you see anything and it is not readable?

Is Textra a messaging app or an email type app? Have you searched the boards for the word textra

Messaging app. Nothing I've tried (several times) from board suggestions has resolved the issue.

I'm still not sure what platform textra is on.
The versa 2 is not the problem but getting the Fitbit app configured correctly.
Doing a search gives me several threads that have been solved.

I have the same issue with Textra. Can get and read texts but no reply option.

Figured it out by changing the Android heads up buttons in Textra. Seems to work now.

@CodyP2112 that makes sense, since the Heads up controls popups which is needed for Fitbit to intercept the notification.
If a user doesn't see the notification while the phones screen is locked. Fitbit can not send the notification on to the tracker.

@CodyP2112 what did you change the "Heads-up" to? I am having the same issue and my Heads-up is set to Textra. Do I need to change it to Android for it to work? I've checked all other settings and they are correct in the Fitbit app. Thanks for your help 🙂
