Is Versa compatible with One Plus 6T?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hello,

I  have been using my Versa with my Oneplus 3T for a few months with no issues. Now  I an going to upgrade  my phone to OP 6T and after reading the several issues with previous OP 6 and/or Android 9, I  think Versa is not going to sync with  6T.

Is there any user that can share his experience with Versa and 6T?

is frustrating the Fitbit policy of phone compatibility. It is clear they dont care much even a lot of fitbit users complain about it.

Hello @esdluis, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community.

Please note that many Android phones, like the One Plus 6T have all the hardware requirements to be a supported device but are currently not on our list of supported devicesThis means that we have not tested it for compatibility and added it to the list yet. For the time being, we don't have an specific date or time-frame of when is going they will be listed as compatible.

While these devices has all the specifications to be compatible and are currently working with the Fitbit app, it's possible to come across some issues along the way. I appreciate your understanding while we work to improve this experience, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Problem is you dont update that list frequenty, only for major vendors like Apple Samsung...., It is ridiculous  last OnePlus supported is the One model. It would  be better and more honest saying you will never test more OnePlus models. Of course, you will not do this as it will impact your sales,  and customer will keep on suffering issues or move to the competency.

If you support Android you should support, make sure, and if needed test, all android Phones, or explicitely deliver a list of supported phones to any customer previous to the sale.

I am dissapdisapointed the fitbit is not compatible with OnePlus 6t. I was excited tonight having got the fitbit versa for Christmas. Can you provide an update where you are at getting the issues mentioned over a month ago resolved? Thank You

Hi,

I've had OnePlus 6T for a month now with no issues at all:

- Versa detected from the very first moment

- Synch is perfect

- Calls, whatsapp and allocation notifications OK

- Even GPS connected  is fine, and does not disconnect  all the time as it was the case with my old OP 3T. I follow all the suggestions posted like disable wifi, kill all recent apps except Fitbit and Endomondo, block fitbit and remove fitbit from battery optimization. There is though a small diference between fitbit and endomondo results but this is not serious.

I use V 32.32.10.15 and last Oxygen update although it was fine as well with the previous update. I have not downloaded latest Versa firmware to avoid my setup stops working.

Before  setup I killed the  BTtestmode process as suggested by someone else in this forum.  Not sure this is the reason everything is Ok

Thanks for your response.

Could you get automatic payments working / able to download music / see apps that were not standard ie Uber / Amazon / Strava / Starbucks etc .... Nothing like these sync as apps on my phone.....the message I get on the display is "pair your phone in your settings app, under Bluetooth" even though I get through WhatsApp messages / Facebook updates though not much more than that.

Thanks

Hello @GlasgowRon, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, thanks for joining the conversation. It's great to see you too @esdluis, thanks for taking the time to reply. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have shared your feedback with us about this situation. As mentioned earlier, the Fitbit app will work with your phone, although we can discard some hiccups along the way, as the One Plus 6T hasn't been added yet to the list of Supported Devices. In the meantime, if you haven't done it yet, please update the firmware on your Versa and let us know if you're still having trouble with it. This will be very helpful for us. Additionally, keep an eye on this help article, where the list of compatible devices gets updated more frequently.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a great day.

Hi there,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I have checked and I already have the latest firmware version and I have the latest mobile app. Still no joy in getting music over, getting the payment option to work where instead get the message "pair your phone in the settings app under Bluetooth" and does not let me use uber or other apps that are meant to be usable from the device.

Any other thoughts? Thanks, Ron

mine worked fine since November.

After the last update "notification service not running, reboot phone" loop.

My Oneplus 6t worked great with Fitbit versa initially, but ever since fitbit rolled out an update, it has stopped syncing to my phone and I do not get any type of notifications on it. I wouldn't recommend upgrading. Fitbit has no answer other than to wait till it gets compatible. I'm pretty bummed with it, as I only bought the versa because it sent notifications to my phone.

1) Disable the battery optimization for the Fitbit app

2) Lock Fitbit app in multitasking switcher

3) Restart your OnePlus device

Return it. It's a waste of time. They have no other solution except "wait for oneplus 6t to become compatible with fitbit versa" .

I'm not that bothered about notification, but does the data sync ok from Versa to the 6T?

I'm using one plus 6t. Finding it really hard to sync and use it day by day.

Please, do something about this. I love fitbit, not interested in moving to other bands. Also not in a position to change my phone as it's brand new as well.

Could you please share an ETA?

No not all. Especially after sleep. The sync keeps running and shows sync stopped with and exclamation :exclamation_mark: symbol. If you haven't bought already old do not get one.
