Is the Versa worth it?

Hello all,

I am looking for some honest input from you guys.

I have been a fitbit user for some years, having had a Flex and 2 Charge HRs.

I have had so many struggles with the Charge HRs and no syncing, the app failing etc. and now my second Charge HR is falling apart as well. I am thinking about getting the Versa, but I want to know if it is worth it?

Will I run into just as many problems? I don't want to keep deleting my app, losing data, resetting everything, just to have a functioning expensive device.

Thank you.

Hi,

I too have been a longtime fitbit user, over 10 years.  I recently bought the versa (end of May).  I found that all the functions and apps worked well, the device's charge lasted approximately 3 days.  I really enjoyed it until a week into ownership....

I bumped up against my counter top at home, barely grazed it, and it put a scratch on the screen.  It was small and I did some research finding others with the same problem.  Only solution was to get a screen protector, so I bought one that day and put it on.  The protector did well until this week.  I took the watch off and dropped it on the floor, about a 3 foot drop.  I must have hit a corner of the watch because it shattered the screen.  I contacted fitbit and was told no solution but to buy a new one.  If you search this forum you will find many that are dealing with the same issue.  There is no way to even just replace the screen.

I do not recommend the versa until they make a better product.

I'm not trying to diminish the real problems others are having, but the  watch has been a great product for me. I think it's kinda the luck of the draw. The first thing I did when I got mine was jumped in the pool and it's worked great for me. I also swim 3 days a week; sometimes 4 and have had no problem with the watch after 2 months, but who knows?  I can only go by my experience and say: I guess it depends. I would recommend the watch as I've had a good experience with it.

I'm another one who loves the Versa.

(If you are currently having problems with bluetooth connections to your phone and/or laptop, you might want to sort them out beforehand so your transition to the Versa runs smoothly.)

Thank you for this important information. So if I were to buy a Versa, a screen protector is vital! I am sorry to hear about yours breaking.
