When I take my motorcycle on a hour or so trip I turn my Versa off to avoid the vibration from giving me 16K steps and 19 floors. It will occasionally turn itself back on though. Is it the vibration that does that?? Can I do something to make sure it stays off??

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @SunsetRunner. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern on how to keep your Fitbit Versa off during your motorcycle trip in order to avoid the extra steps. I understand that you turn off your device by following these steps: On your watch, open the Settings app > About > Shutdown > confirm the shutdown.
The watch turns on when you press the back button, it shouldn't turn on due to vibration. Is it possible that the back button is pressed somehow during your trip?
Please keep me posted!

Thanks for your response. I actually took the bike into work today and decided to leave the fitbit on my wrist. I turned it off as I always do and it came back on twice during my trip. The button was not pressed in during my trip. Also, I had a discussion about this over the weekend with friends and we tested a theory.....I turned it off and allowed it shut down completely. I held it with two fingers and lightly shook it, not pressing the button. We did this two times and each time it turned back on just from the light shake. So maybe the connection for the button is a little off somehow???

Hi @SunsetRunner, thank you for your reply.
I appreciate the additional details and your efforts to do a test and recommend doing a restart: How do I restart my Fitbit device? This will refresh your device internally. Please monitor your watch after that and let me know if you see any difference.
Keep me posted!
