Log in Aggravation

I have been using a Versa fitbit for about a year and 7 months, and it has generally worked well. Minor problems were solved with a soft restart or a shutdown. I believe my version is 2.44.1997 (64026).

 

When I tried to open my fitbit program on my Win 10 laptop earlier today, it would not open. For the first time ever I received a notice that I had to log-in "for security reasons". I clicked on the link to log in, but the site would not accept my password. Not even after several restarts and shutdowns. So I had to change my password. It took 2 attempts using my new password before it was accepted, and I could finally access my laptop fitbit app. The whole exercise took almost an hour.

 

The problem was solved, and I report this as feedback. And I worry that my privacy might have been compromised. An explanation would be appreciated.
