Losing Step Streak

The area near the toomof my Fitbit home page keeps resetting my step streak. 
My steak should be at about 28 days this time and it reset to only a 7 day streak.  This has happened Several times over the past 6 months. At one point I was up to about 240 days when the streak counter reset to 0.    How. Do I get this to stop ??
