My versa was completely dead this morning so I charged it on the way to the gym. The battery was at 25% when I disconnected it and was working fine the entire workout. At the end of the workout I opened the app on my phone and noticed no data had been synced yet. So I manual clicked to sync, momentarily all of my data from my work out showed up, I had reached my step, stair, calorie and distance goal but then all of the data disappeared again. I tried syncing again multiple times and it kept setting me at zero (for steps, stairs, and distance and the automatic calorie count you start with everyday). When I checked on my actual Fitbit all of my data was gone from it as well even though it had been all there and tracking perfectly before. I’ve tried several troubleshooting ideas, including restarting the Fitbit and checking my Fitbit data on the online app which is also missing. The only thing it had tracked was my last couple of steps and heart rate right before i manually synced it. Even my heart rate data is missing from the two hours I had been wearing it. I’ve had this happen before and hadn’t been able to find any information about it. Do I just always need to manually sync my Fitbit every time the battery dies before it will start tracking properly?

Hi there @Claireallan, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for the details provided and for taking the time to troubleshoot this situation.
What happened to you is an expected behavior. You should have logged in to sync the tracker before you let your Versa ran out of battery.
If you remember the exact amount of steps or the name of the activity you performed, you can try manually logging the activity. To get more information about this, check the article: How do I manually log an activity or exercise?
Additionally, it'd be great to take a look at: How do Fitbit devices sync their data? to get more information about how your Versa syncs.
Hope this clarifies what happened. Let me know if you need further assistance!
