Lower heart rate detected

Since the new update for heart rate zones came in I've been more interested in making sure my heart rate is within 'Fat burn' at minimum for a certain amount of minutes a day which I have been achieving through hikes, brisk treadmill walks and weights sessions - while always setting it to those certain activities. For the past two days however my device has struggled to keep above 110bpm which is very frustrating considering I have felt no different during these sessions. The treadmill registers at least 130bpm on the hand sensors. It makes very little sense to me! To look at my watch while out of breath and sweating and see just 95bpm is incredibly disheartening. 95bpm isn't even high enough to be considered a finishing point for a warm up.

Before I just go back to disregarding the heart rate monitoring side of the fitbit, is there anyone else having similar issues?

I have tried all the recommendations - tightening the strap, wearing it so the sensor is on the inside of the wrist, making sure it's clean etc.
