Map shows miles not route

About a week or so after most recent software upgrade (3.54.1 (1099)), on Fitbit app, my GPS map quit showing route. It shows mile markers but not the route itself. This is on an iPhone 11 with current iOS 15.3.1. My Fitbit is a Versa. Me thinks a bug in the app but any ideas would be appreciated. Tried force-quitting app and rebooting phone and Fitbit. No dice.
