Mileage Vibration Notification

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently replaced my Versa with a Versa 2, and this morning completed my first “Walk” exercise using the new Versa 2.  The first thing I noticed was that I was not receiving vibration notifications for each mile completed, which happens on the Versa.  Is this something that I can turn on within the settings menu (I searched for it but couldn’t find it)?

My wife used my old Versa during this same “Walk” exercise and received a vibration for every mile completed, so I know this feature still exists and works on the older model.  I’m just hoping that this feature didn’t get cut from the newer model.

Thanks in advance.

You can set "Lap" notifications either in the mobile app or on the Walk exercise screen prior to starting you walk.

In the mobile app:

  • tap the account icon at the top left of the Today screen
  • tap the Versa 2 tab
  • scroll down and tap the Exercise Shortcuts tab
  • tab the Walk tab
  • at Walk Laps scroll to "Automatic" and select the lap type and criteria.
  • Tap the Today icon on the bottom of the screen
  • sync your device.

On the device, once you have selected "Walk" but before starting the app:

  • tap the gear icon at the top right of the screen.
  • tap Show Laps until "Automatic" is shown
  • tap Automatic Lap Settings and configure like you would in the mobile app.
  • press the device button to return to the exercise
  • Start your exercise
  • The device will remember the settings and should sync those settings back to your mobile app - I always sync immediately and then start the exercise, but that is just me being paranoid.

Good luck.

Thank you @MrMarv!  I’ve followed your steps.  Hopefully it’ll work. Will confirm on our next walk.
