Music Controller not working-Versa

I have a Huawei Honor 8, and I´ve set up the bluetooth pairing but in the music controller it only says "Start playing music on your phone", but playing music doesnt do anything or change anything on the controller.

I have the green phone icon in the bottom left, soo it is obviously connected.

Is your Versa connected to your phone, to download music on your Versa, the Versa has to be connected while you do it.

Android and iPhone 6s. Versa, Flex 2, and Zip

I am not trying to download music, I am only trying to use the music player for apps like spotify.
