My Versa 2 back button is not working

I realize that there are other forum posts on this very issue, but I was hoping that a Fitbit staff member would be able to get me a quick solution.

 

I have had the Versa 2 for a little over three months.  It has been an incredible watch, surpassing my every expectation.  I bought a cover to keep it safe from scratches and water.  Nonetheless, something must have happened to it a week or so ago, because the left "Back" button does not work at all.  Within a few days of that discovery, I made the mistake of navigating to the "Source" screen.  It has been there for about four days and never changes.

 

The watch has gotten worse over the past few days.  First it stopped giving me specifics for my sleep patterns.  Then it stopped reading my pulse.  Yesterday, it told me every hour to get up and walk, but stopped doing that today.  Holding down the back button for long periods of time does nothing.  Changing the watch face from my phone app does nothing.  Cleaning around the back button with a toothpick or a can of compressed air does nothing.  I even stuck the tiniest object in the back of the watch and held it there for over ten seconds, hoping to reset the device; nothing happened.

 

At this point, the only thing I haven't tried is letting the battery die and then charging the watch to bring it back to life.  But something tells me that won't magically fix the back button.

 

Help me, Fitbit community or staff! You're my only hope!
