Purchased my Fitbit Versa in January 2019. The only water related activity I use it for is showering. It’s supposed to be “waterproof” but as of today, 20th May, it stopped working. It won’t come on and there’s condensation at the back.

Hi, put in a bowl of rice for one day and see if it's getting better. The Versa is not waterproof, but water resistant.

@Quadri.A Fitbit never said the Versa is water proof, it is water resistant to 50 meters, a standard for safe for shallow swimming. This also means that a stream of water, drowning on the force may get past the seals. Also buttons should not be pressed while the tracker is wet.

Okay, I agree it’s my bad for thinking water proof as opposed to water resistance cuz they’re two different things. However, I still believe taking a shower shouldn’t damage my watch either way. My mum does the same and her watch is still fine so I don’t get why mine broke

I also don’t see anywhere where they mentioned that you shouldn’t press buttons while the tracker is wet.
I don’t believe I did so, consciously at least, but this wasn’t a precaution they’ve ever mentioned

The only question in this discussion that it's relevant: did you dry your Versa thoroughly after showering, also the band? If not, than yes, this can cause water damage, certainly when you see condensation on the back side of your watch. If yes, contact Customer Support with your problem.

I don't see it mention on the Fitbit site either.
Back in the middle of the 1960's the USA made it illegal to use the term waterproof when it comes to watches. Since then the has been a water resistant standard that is universally agreed apon. The seals around the button are not enough to be pushed while in water.
Here is one article on water resistant

My brother had a phone that fell into water, and he placed in rice and stick on the windowsill it took 2 weeks.
Have you thought about contacting Fitbit?
