My versa will not stay connected... It almost never syncs. I have tried everything... I am not happy. Thinking of returning it

@taylorlewlew Try this for now:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions incl pairing
  7. Force sync

@smartin3380 Phone model and OS? Has it ever synced? Do you get any error messages? What is your Versa firmware version and Fitbit mobile app version?

Mine wont either! Just got it today. Initial update and set up worked fine. Chose a new watch face and now it wont sync or do anything. Ugh!

@Amafili The same questions as above. Also, if you suspect it might be the clockface, try changing it. I doubt though if it's Fitbit original.

What do you mean force sync? It is still stuck on the "enter the number on your verses display screen." and says connecting to fitbit and then never does. I did everything else listed above.

@taylorlewlew After rebooting your Versa what does the display say? Also, is Versa still linked to your Fitbit account? Perhaps you can take a screenshot of Fitbit mobile app showing the devices linked to your account?

ETA: Glad, factory reset helped.

@Allyooup Please make sure that:

  1. All-day sync, Always Connected and Keep Alive Widget are enabled in the Fitbit mobile app. Make sure to sync after enabling them.
  2. Also, please make sure Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized by Android (Android settings>Battery>Optimization>Fitbit needs to be marked as not optimized).
  3. If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me.

To restore your BT connection, perform the procedure I mentioned in my earlier post:

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your phone and install Fitbit mobile app. Do not pair in your phone's bluetooth settings
  4. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app
  6. Grant all permissions and sync.

The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.

Did you find the solution?  Mine was doing it too, brand new. Would sync for 30 seconds then stop, couldn't even change watch face. Tried everything they said to do "except"..... I deleted/ unpaired from my Fitbit account all previous watches AND signed in from my computer along with my phone.  It worked!  I can change watch faces, syncs continuously so we'll see how long it lasts!

YUP .... and I went through this crap for a week digging for info. Returned the Versa now have a new one ... EXACT same result. It synced from my Strava though or something. i did not wear it for my 5 mile run because it was setting up and updating. So it synced to my run which i got from a strava run tracker. My garmin and strava and wahoo stuff all works GREAT and the FitBit2 GREAT ... I delete all from connection, deleted apps, restart phone, bluetooth apps, resent Versa, etc etc etc  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having same issue with versa inability to stay synced, it is the only Bluetowith device paired to my phone. I have done the above 3 times now and it only works for a few days and then goes back to not staying connected. Please help!
