Need help setting up my Versa 2.

So in setting up my versa 2 it gets to the setup point where you put the watch on the charger and all it does it keep telling me try again.  Can you not be hooked up to any other bluetooth devices while setting it up?  Or what would cause this to happen this watch is brand new and I'm new to all of this.
