My new Versa which I received as a present has not counted any floors since I activated it 1 week ago. I have tried the restart and soft reset options suggested by moderators in other posts but these have not solved the problem.
I know this is a small issue but a brand new device not functioning as advertised is a disappointment and reflects badly on Fitbit.

Are you sure it is a Versa, not a Versa Lite? The Versa Lite does not count floors. It does not have the altimeter needed for that.

Yes I'm pretty sure it's a Versa.
